Infectious Disease Services

Depending on their employment and job duties, some employees are at risk for infectious diseases such as tuberculosis (TB), hepatitis (A, B, or C), HIV, rabies, herpes B, meningitis, and other diseases. This risk may be even greater for employees who travel overseas and could be at risk of acquiring diseases not found in the United States.

While using proper personal protective equipment on the job and offering vaccines may prevent many of these diseases, screening and testing for infectious diseases also play a key role.

    Screenings Offered

Concentra offers infectious disease screenings for employees as needed. Services include testing for disease and/or for immunity to ensure the health and safety of employees.

Diseases we can provide screenings for include:

    • Hepatitis B virus
    • Hepatitis C virus
    • HIV Measles, mumps, rubella
    • Tuberculosis (TB)
    • Varicella (chicken pox)
    • COVID-19/Influenza

      When Should Employees be Screened/Tested?

For some employees, screening is recommended and/or required as part of pre-employment evaluations to establish a baseline.

Infectious disease testing may also be recommended and/or required after a possible exposure to specific pathogens occurs.

        COMPLIANCE

When screening employees, Concentra always ensures compliance with all regulatory standards. We follow all regulatory requirements and recommendations, including those from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
