Maintaining a Safe and Drug-free Workplace
Concentra provides industry-leading online drug and alcohol awareness training for your workforce. Our courses are developed and narrated by experts, and fully scalable to the needs of your business—whether you have two employees or two thousand. Because it’s online, your employees can train at the pace you set for them, making it easy to train employees with different schedules. We can also track compliance so that you know who has—and hasn’t—completed their training.
REASONABLE SUSPICION DRUG TESTING
Reasonable suspicion drug testing is performed when an employer or trained supervisor may suspect that an employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. These tests can’t be given randomly. They must be based on specific, tangible observations about an employee’s:
- Appearance
- Behavior
- Speech

DOT Training Requirements
-
For Employees
Supervisors aren’t the only ones required to learn about DOT drug testing requirements. The DOT also requires that employees receive training, and this training must be documented. The training tells employees who is required to be tested, the consequences of refusing to test and violating the DOT rules, when employees must be tested, and more. Just like with supervisor training, Concentra can provide you with online training for employees, too.
-
For Supervisors
Supervisors are required to receive two types of training: Indicators of Probable Drug Use, and Indicators of Probable Alcohol Use. The Department of Transportation requires documentation that the trainings have been completed, and recommends recurring training as a best practice. Concentra can provide your company with online training that meets DOT requirements for these courses, as well as the necessary documentation.
