Concentra Telemedicine Offering Available in Six States

Convenient access to an occupational health care provider via mobile device.

ADDISON, Texas — April 2, 2018 — Concentra, the nation’s largest provider of occupational medicine, today announces the expansion of its telemedicine platform, Concentra TelemedTM, to customers in Arizona and Florida. This follows recent announcements regarding Concentra Telemed’s expansion to Illinois, Michigan, and New Mexico and the launch of Concentra Telerehab in California. Concentra Telerehab, which is slated for rapid expansion to additional states, enables injured employees to connect with licensed Concentra therapy clinicians to receive physical therapy for workers’ compensation injuries.

The company selected Arizona and Florida for its most recent expansion due to employers’ heightened interest in Concentra’s telemedicine solution for workers’ compensation cases and a regulatory environment that embraces telemedicine as one means of delivering occupational health care services. With the addition of these states, workers’ compensation injury care via Concentra Telemed is now available to employers and their employees across six states.

“This second expansion marks another step on our path to offer telemedicine services and increases access to injury care treatment for an additional 13 million employees using Concentra Telemed,” said Ann Schnure, vice president of Concentra Telemed operations. “We look forward to adding more states next month and continually leveraging Concentra Telemed to connect even more patients to our quality health care services.”

Concentra Telemed is built on the company’s strong foundation of 39 years in occupational medicine and workplace health to bring simple, trusted medical care directly to employees via a video connection on a smartphone, tablet, or computer. Concentra’s experienced clinicians provide care to injured workers so they receive a timely diagnosis and immediate treatment, eliminating the need for transportation to a medical center. These virtual visits deliver high patient satisfaction and improved productivity, while limiting costs to the employer.
