Virtual platform provides unequaled access to quality occupational health care services.

ADDISON, Texas — September 4, 2018 — Concentra®, the nation’s largest provider of occupational medicine, today announced the continued expansion of Concentra TelemedTM to two additional states. In keeping with its commitment to launch virtual care to employers and their employees nationwide, the most recent implementation of Concentra’s telemedicine platform in Texas and Utah brings the total number of states served to 19 for Concentra Telemed and 18 for Concentra Telerehab (currently unavailable in Texas).

Concentra’s roots go back to 1979 when a group of physicians realized there was a need for quality care for injured workers. In developing its telemedicine platform, Concentra applied its best practices honed over the years to ensure a consistent and quality standard of injury care. In addition, with more than 500 medical centers nationwide, Concentra connects virtual with hands-on care. Offering the full range of medical services and physical therapy, Concentra remains sharply focused on providing an exceptional health care experience.

“With the rising demand for better access to qualified occupational health care, we continue our hard push to launch our technology solution in additional states,” said Ann Schnure, vice president of Concentra Telemed operations. “By increasing our pace, we provide more and more employers and employees with a virtual care option.”

Concentra Telemed and Telerehab create efficiencies that not only help curb rising health care costs, but also get employees actively engaged in their recovery and have a positive impact on their productivity. Concentra Telemed and Telerehab services are now available to employees in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, and Virginia.
