Concentra Expands Telemedicine Again - Launches in Kentucky and Oklahoma

Expansion goals for 2018 exceeded with virtual care now available in 23 states nationwide

ADDISON, Texas — November 1, 2018 — Concentra®, the nation’s largest provider of occupational medicine, today announced the expansion of Concentra TelemedTM and Telerehab to Kentucky and Oklahoma. This exceeds the company’s expansion goals for 2018, offering convenient access to specialized health care services for employers and their employees in 23 states. Additional expansion is planned for 2019, with announcements to follow.

Concentra’s telemedicine platform is flexible and scalable, enabling the company to carefully evaluate state regulations in advance of each launch to ensure compliance and seamless integration. Concentra believes this investment in the future of occupational health care benefits employers by providing assurance that their employees are able to receive timely delivery of quality care. Perhaps most important is the benefit to employees, enabling them to directly connect with occupational health care clinicians. With their deep understanding of work-related illness and injury, Concentra clinicians make injured employees their first priority to ensure they receive exceptional care and are able to return to work and normal activities quickly.

“We are excited about reaching this important milestone as 2018 draws to a close,” said Ann Schnure, vice president of Concentra Telemed operations. “In today’s technology-driven world, Concentra has kept pace by modernizing our offering with valuable access points to care. Together with our customers, our telemedicine platform is gaining momentum, helping to empower employees and supporting our efforts designed to continually deliver meaningful outcomes. And, we are eager to continue our expansion in 2019.”

Concentra Telemed is built on the company’s strong foundation of nearly 40 years in occupational medicine and workplace health to bring trusted medical care directly to employees via a video connection on a smartphone, tablet, or computer. Concentra’s experienced clinicians provide care to injured workers so they receive a timely diagnosis and immediate treatment, eliminating the need for transportation to a medical center. These virtual visits deliver high patient satisfaction and improved productivity, while limiting costs to the employer.
