Concentra Acquires Alliance Occupational Medicine
Continued service excellence to employers in the San Jose area
ADDISON, Texas — April 24, 2019 — Concentra®, the nation’s leader in occupational medicine, announced the acquisition of Alliance Occupational Medicine. Alliance Occupational Medicine will continue to operate under its name until May 20, 2019, at which time it will transition to the Concentra identity, systems, and processes. This coincides with the transition of U.S. HealthWorks locations in the San Jose area, effective May 6. Concentra acquired U.S. HealthWorks in early 2018 and has been steadily converting California clinics to Concentra since January 2019. The addition of the Alliance locations ensures superior access to occupational health care services for employers and their employees in San Jose.
“We are honored to be entrusted with the exceptional legacy that Rena and Rick Flovin and the entire team have built at Alliance Occupational Medicine,” said Minh Nguyen, DO, Concentra vice president of medical operations. “With Dr. Ramesh and the Alliance clinicians joining us to lead care delivery and Jennifer Crisci and the Alliance colleagues continuing to help support the former Alliance Occupational Medicine locations, we are confident that we will continue to build upon that legacy and provide the same excellent service and care that employers and employees have come to expect.”
Concentra has long been known as the premier provider of occupational health services delivered through an extensive network of more than 520 locations nationwide. This acquisition strengthens Concentra’s growing presence in California and enables the company to more effectively meet the demand for comprehensive occupational health services in the region. Concentra offers quality, efficient medical care to meet the needs of employers and their employees at convenient times and locations.
As part of the company’s occupational health services, Concentra will provide work injury care, physical therapy, drug testing, DOT physical exams, pre-placement exams, and other employer-related health services from its three new locations in the greater San Jose area.
