Concentra® and Nova Medical Centers

On March 1, 2025, Concentra acquired Nova Medical Centers (Nova), an occupational health services company based in Houston, Texas. This expands Concentra’s footprint to approximately 620 occupational health centers nationwide.

The following Frequently Asked Questions and Answers are designed to guide you through the transition.

  • 67 Nova Medical Centers will become Concentra centers.

    • More centers. Concentra's expanding footprint makes it easier for customers to get care for their employees. After the transition, Concentra will have additional locations in Texas, Indiana, Georgia, Tennessee, and Wisconsin, all focused on keeping your workforce healthy and productive.
    • More services. Onsite X-ray, physical therapy, and other services will be available in all centers.
    • Telemedicine. Concentra Telemed®, virtual care to treat relatively minor work injuries and illnesses, can be accessed 24/7/365 via computer, tablet, or smartphone.
    • Online treatment authorization and results reporting. Concentra HUB, our customer portal, makes it easier and more convenient to work with Concentra for all your pre-employment and injury care needs.
  • Beginning June 2, 2025, and continuing through July 28, 2025, Nova centers in Tennessee, Wisconsin, Georgia, Indiana, and Texas will transition to Concentra.

  • You can find Concentra locations using our Location Finder on Concentra.com. We will add Nova locations to Concentra.com when these centers transition to Concentra systems, processes, and brand.  In the interim, you can find Nova locations on the Nova website.
  • We are excited to expand and offer services in more markets through this acquisition. Our integration will give employers and their employees more access points with minimal geographical overlap and the enhanced support of a larger combined entity. We do not plan to close any Nova centers at present. 

  • Yes. Concentra HUB, our customer portal, is a fully integrated occupational health platform that provides 24/7/365 access to the information you need to make timely business decisions related to the health and safety of your workforce. Users can view, print, or download pertinent information as quickly as it is entered into the system. Concentra HUB is available to all Concentra customers, including employers, workers' compensation payors, third-party administrators, and nurse case managers. Concentra HUB users experience high value in:

    • Online authorizations for injury treatment and occupational health services
    • Access to injury work status reports and scheduled visits
    • Online customer support
    • Online non-injury invoice management and delivery
    • Drug screen specimen status and results
    • And more...

    When you are ready to set up your Concentra HUB account, contact Concentra Customer Support at 1-844-305-8868. Customer support is available Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Central Time. You will need to provide your first and last name, work email address, phone number, and job role to obtain a Concentra HUB account. For visits performed by Nova before the transition, continue to follow the process you have in place with Nova. Historical visit data will not be migrated to Concentra HUB.

  • Once logged in to your Concentra HUB account, you can authorize services from the Authorizations tab. View a short video to learn how to create an authorization. If you have questions about authorizations, submit a support ticket using the Help tab or contact Concentra Customer Support at 1-844-305-8868. Customer support is available Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Central Time. Treatment authorization forms are also available on Concentra.com.

  • The specimen status and results of drug screens performed by Concentra will be reported to you in Concentra HUB. Concentra will perform the specimen collection and report related documentation to your designated third party if you utilize a third party for drug screens.

    For drug tests performed by Nova before the transition, continue to follow the process you have in place with Nova.

  • You should continue to use the same portals and processes to receive information and updates until your Nova Medical Center transitions to Concentra. Information will not be shared between the two platforms.After Nova centers transition to Concentra, Concentra HUB will be the only portal you will use to authorize patient visits, view results, and conduct business with Concentra. Occuflex will remain available to access results for visits that occurred prior to the transition until further notice. Follow your standard process for records requests or contact your center for assistance.

    Occuflex and Concentra HUB fulfill the same primary customer needs, but they differ in appearance and features. We will blend the best aspects of both portals to create an optimal user experience.

     
  • Your contract remains the same immediately following the close of the acquisition, and you should see no impact. We will update you in advance if there are any future contract or service agreement changes.

  • We anticipate that Concentra and Nova operate on similar, if not the same, networks, and as such, we expect no concerns because of this acquisition. As we move further into integration, we will develop plans and processes for aligning the two organizations for increased efficiencies in the coming months.

  • Following the close of the acquisition, all existing service packages and agreements will remain the same. Concentra and Nova have nearly identical service offerings. As we integrate the two organizations further, we will evaluate options and programs and provide updates and communication regarding any changes to your account.

  • Following the completion of the acquisition, business will continue as usual. Customers should see no immediate changes or interruption of service in the foreseeable future.   • We want the integration to be seamless, so your Nova account information will automatically be transferred to Concentra’s systems. In the coming months, we will contact you with more details. When we contact you, please engage with us in the transition process to ensure accurate account conversion. Customer support is available Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Central Time.

  • In the immediate future, you should continue to engage with your primary point of contact. However, as we go through integration activities in the coming months, your point of contact may change to ensure the best service for your account in the future. We will communicate any changes to your account well in advance so you have no service interruption.

  • Whether you are a Nova or Concentra customer or use both companies, your primary point of contact remains the same. As we integrate the two organizations further, we will contact you about any planned changes or updates, including changes in customer contacts.

  • After the transition, when you authorize visits from Concentra HUB, your employees can complete their intake forms before arrival at the medical center using a secure link sent by text message to the employee. Online visit registration speeds check-in and ensures a smoother patient experience. Visit results are reported electronically to our customers; your employees may request a copy of their visit information at checkout.

  • Your employees’ appointments will not change.

  • Concentra Telemed is the first telemedicine platform designed for work-related injuries and illnesses. Since its launch in 2017, thousands of employees nationwide have trusted Concentra Telemed to connect with our licensed Concentra clinicians using video technology for the right care at the right time. Employees receive prompt attention to relatively minor work-related medical issues, work injury rechecks, and more.

    Your employees can access Concentra Telemed 24/7/365 from a laptop or mobile device.

    To use Concentra Telemed, employees will need the following:

    • An authorization for injury treatment created on Concentra HUB or our website page.
    • Access to a quiet, private location for the visit
    • A computer, smartphone, or mobile device with a webcam and microphone
    • A valid photo ID or driver's license
    • An active email address and password of their choosing
    • An internet connection
  • Immediately upon the acquisition's close, business will continue as usual. In the near term, we will implement changes to integrate both companies under one system, leading to one payment system for both organizations. As changes are implemented to billing systems, we will provide you with information and updates to ensure that you continue to receive the best service and see no interruption in service.

  • To pay your bill, visit Concentra.com and click the Pay Bill tab or select a non-injury invoice in Concentra HUB and click Pay Now to access Concentra online bill pay directly.

    Quick tips for paying online:

    • We accept credit cards only for online payments
    • We accept all major credit cards
    • We assume standard credit card fees associated with online bill pay
    • All the information you need to pay online is on your Concentra invoice
    • Partial payments are accepted
    • Online bill pay is only available on Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge

    Please use the contact information on your invoice for questions related to your bill or to learn about additional payment options.

  • There is not one main number at present. Customers will continue to use their existing contact information for the Nova or Concentra billing offices, respectively. As we move further into integration and align processes and programs, we will update and communicate to customers about any changes that may impact their account or service.
