Concentra Marks Center Renovation with Opening and Donation

Concentra, a subsidiary of Humana Inc., marked the grand reopening of its medical center in Lewiston, Maine with a special ribbon cutting ceremony and donation to the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing.

The Concentra Urgent Care center, located at 59 East Avenue in Lewiston, has a new look complete with wood flooring, soft accent lighting, and an inviting welcome area. The center is designed from the patient’s perspective to deliver trusted medical care in a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The Concentra Urgent Care location in Lewiston is part of a joint venture with the Central Maine Medical Group, the primary care division of the Central Maine Medical Center.

To mark the grand reopening of the new center, Concentra hosted a ribbon-cutting and dedication event, complete with hors d’oeuvres prizes, and center tours. Concentra also made a special donation to the Dempsey Challenge, benefitting the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing.

The third annual Dempsey Challenge, held on October 8 and 9, includes a 5k and 10k run, kids’ fun run, and cycling routes. Concentra has been a long-time supporter of the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing, with countless Concentra colleagues volunteering their time and energy to raise awareness and money to support cancer research. This year, Concentra was a sponsor of the Dempsey Challenge, sharing important health and wellness tips with participants and attendees at the Festival in the Park.
