Concentra Colleague Spotlight: Dr. Anderson

Anna Kleiner

Concentra’s values – a healing focus, a selfless heart, a tireless resolve – are the core of our commitment to improving the patient experience. We’re celebrating The Concentra Difference by putting the spotlight on a colleague who lives out these values every day. Today, we’re focusing on Dr. Anderson, Concentra’s Chief Medical Officer.

Dr. Anderson started with Concentra in 1993, and helped to develop a workplace health and wellness model to improve access to medical care for employees and reduce employer health care costs. Today, he makes sure that all 1,200 Concentra clinicians appreciate how this evidence-based model results in great outcomes for our patients and clients.

After earning his undergraduate degree from John Carroll University, Dr. Anderson went on to receive his medical degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He is board-certified in both occupational medicine and health care quality management, and has served as an appointed member of Michigan’s Workers’ Compensation Advisory Council and Wayne State University’s Occupational Medicine Resident Advisory Committee. Dr. Anderson is also a Fellow of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, and the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians.

He is a contributing author and co-editor of the reference textbook Low Back Pain: An Evidence-Based, Biopsychosocial Model for Clinical Management.

We’re thankful for the way Dr. Anderson represents The Concentra Difference for every patient and colleague. Thank you for everything you do!
