
Concentra Network Analyst II

The Network Analyst II is responsible for delivering quality customer service while providing companywide technical and resource services in the installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and diagnosis of network client and server computer hardware, peripheral equipment, and software. Network Analysts are responsible for the 24 x 7 support of Select’s network. Support includes investigating problems, determining the cause and implementing solutions. The impact of these problems span a range from a single application or location to companywide. Network Analysts must understand multiple technologies including wireless networks, routing protocols, wide area network accelerations; be able to work with and coordinate multiple internal groups and external vendors; and be able to resolve most problems with little direct supervision.
- Be able to diagnose, investigate and troubleshoot problems reported to the network teams
- Determine the actual or root cause of problems, which may or may not be network issues
- Configure routers and switches as necessary to support clinics. Monitor and manage hospital or data center equipment
- Respond in a timely manner to assigned items (Incidents, Tasks, and Problems) related but not limited to computer hardware, software and network connectivity. Ensure that all items are updated with current status regularly.
- Ensure timely escalation of complex customer issues by documenting the impact to the customer. Initiate escalation as appropriate and ensure management awareness of problems that are severe in nature or that are exceeding documented SLAs.
- Communicate status about problems and their resolution to other IT groups, clinic cost center managers, hospital CEOs, or other key staff at the sites
- Assist in the planning and installation of hardware systems, software, and local area networks and remote sites
- Provide onsite support at remote locations as required for site opening/closing and major hardware, software, or infrastructure upgrades. Maintain records and documentation related to network nodes, network equipment, data cabling, equipment location, and software revisions.
- Install, test, and troubleshoot software on network troubleshooting or monitoring network workstations and servers
- Interface with the other IS teams as requested to support all activities related to the roll-out of new releases of production applications
- Assist in Disaster Recovery Test exercises as requested and be responsible for designated systems
- Create, maintain, and update disaster recovery procedures when changes in hardware or applications occur
- Set up training sessions with Help Desk, End User Support and Operations staff to improve customer satisfaction and first call resolution
- Participate in relevant information sharing activities
- Monitor and report on any security violations related to the unwarranted access to corporate data
- Ensure that all problems are resolved in a timely and efficient manner
- Help build team spirit by assisting other staff members and promoting a positive workplace
- Maintain awareness of the rapidly changing environment and recommend cost efficient techniques
- Recognize potential areas where policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion. Submit recommendations as appropriate.
- Support the mission and direction of Select Medical, both within the Information Services department and throughout the organization
- Ensure all changes comply with change management policies and procedures

Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree
Major: Computer Science
Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
- In lieu of an undergraduate degree, the ratio is 1:1 meaning one year of college is equal to one year of directly related work experience and vice versa
- Certifications: CCNA, CCNP
Job-Related Experience
Customarily has at least the following experience:
- Customarily six years of progressive responsibilities supporting a medium to large size, multi-site network.
- 3 to 5 years' experience with Cisco IOS in a multi-site organization
- 3 to 5 years' experience with MPLS and routing protocols such as BGP, EIGRP or OSPF
- 2 to 4 years' experience with Cisco DMVPN over broadband or equivalent site-to-site VPN technology
- 1 to 3 years' experience with Cisco wireless controllers or equivalent technology
- Experience with Aruba wireless a plus
- Experience with Cisco Viptella SDWAN a plus
