The Concentra Data Center (CDC) in Addison TX supports over 520 medical centers, onsite facilities, and 12,000 colleagues that support the largest Occupational Medicine provider in the U.S.

The Operations Support Analyst I is responsible for delivering quality customer service while performing and overseeing necessary operational functions supporting production applications, infrastructure, and services within the CDC.  This role will be responsible for ensuring operational reliability, availability, and performance for all environments while meeting the 99.999 % availability objective.  This includes electrical, cooling, backup, and infrastructure systems.  This position requires the ability to analyze, design, implement, and maintain systems within the CDC.  This includes monitoring applications, as-built documentation, and maintenance schedules.   In addition, the analyst is responsible for all installation and support of structured cabling and all hardware enclosures. 

  • This role requires alternate shift schedules when required
  • Will perform or oversee the implementation, support, and maintenance activities of all environments within the CDC
  • Operate, monitor, and respond to abnormal conditions or alerts impacting mechanical systems
  • Conduct regular inspections of building systems, i.e., HVAC, electrical distribution, fire systems, and mechanical equipment rooms to ensure systems meet city and state regulatory compliance
  • Handle all Move, Adds, & Changes (MACs) of hardware within the Data Center
  • Responsible for maintaining ServiceNow CMDB
  • Experience following Change Control policies and processes
  • Receipt of shipments delivered to Data Center, including logging received equipment, storing it securely, conducting periodic inventories and notifying recipients.
  • Maintain and update as-built documentation
  • Work with vendors and contractors to plan and coordinate maintenance schedules
  • Track and maintain Data Center inventory
  • Assist in the creation and updating of capacity plans
  • Perform inspections and maintenance on electrical systems to ensure safety and functionality
  • Install feeders, breakers switchgear, and other electrical equipment (BOE and Certifications)
  • Install Data Center structured cabling, patch panels and cable management
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
  • Ensure monitoring controls are installed and functioning as expected
  • Responsible for following, supporting, and enforcing all internal security control processes and procedures
  • Assist in other job duties as determined by the Data Center Manager
  • Create and maintain operational runbooks
  • A minimum of 2 years of hands on experience in the operation and support of Data Center infrastructure and building systems with proven ability and l knowledge of all DC systems
  • Knowledge of the electrical and mechanical systems in a Data Center environment, including Feeders, Transformers, Generators, Switchgear, UPS systems, ATS/STS units, PDU/PMM units, and CRAC units
  • Texas State Licensed Journeyman Electrician (preferred)
  • Demonstrates excellent proactive observation skills with problem-solving ability
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate across multiple teams
  • Skilled at problem analysis and assessment
  • 3-5 years of experience in Information Technology with relevant hands on experience in a Data Center environment
  • Strong knowledge of Data Center security fundamentals
  • Working knowledge of HVAC and power infrastructure
  • Proficiency with the National Electrical Code and local codes
  • Ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams
  • Previous experience working on commercial electrical systems is preferred
  • Ability to lift/move 75lbs of equipment on a regular basis and work in areas requiring physical exertion
  • Willing to travel 2-4 times per year
  • BICSI and CDCS certifications are preferred
