Overview

The Manager will be responsible for managing the accounting activities and reporting for our business units, assisting in the daily application of technical accounting pronouncements, process improvement and financial consolidation.  This position will report directly to the Director, Business Unit Accounting.. They will ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service by putting all customers (internal and external) first and displaying:

Responsibilities

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Manage and coordinate monthly accounting, close processes and financial reporting for business units
  • Supervise, develop and retain professional accounting staff
  • Provide business combination support including technical accounting research, joint venture accounting and legal consolidations
  • Ensure compliance with current accounting pronouncements and procedures
  • Represent the accounting and finance teams in cross functional process improvement projects
  • Identify opportunities to streamline the accounting processes
Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Excellent customer service orientation
  • CPA in good standing
  • Strong technical accounting acumen
  • Minimum 8 years of professional accounting experience
  • 2 years of financial reporting experience preferred
  • 2+ years of public accounting experience strongly preferred
  • Strict focus on ownership and accountability
  • High integrity, ethics and work standard
  • Team player
  • Experience and knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley documentation and testing is a plus
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Prior operational accounting integration of acquisition targets
  • Prior healthcare provider company experience preferred
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work cross functionally
  • Project management experience a plus
  • Experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite and Hyperion tools (HFM, Smartview, Essbase)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
