A worksite clinic is located onsite a large employer locations and is offered to that employer's associates and dependents (as applicable). 

 

The “Medical Assistant” is a resource who staffs the clinic .  Key activities include operating and maintaining the facility, performing front office functions and completing direct wellness and/or preventive encounters with patients as needed. 

Responsibilities

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Daily Duties
    • Greets visitors/patients as they enter the center.
    • Answer incoming calls from patients/associates and assist them with questions/concerns.
    • Maintains exam rooms, lab area and treatment rooms clean and stocked, maintaining inventory of supplies and re-orders as needed/directed by Operations Director or Medical Operations Director.
    • Assists in medical record maintenance including the use of an electronic medical record system.
    • Able to maintain and operate all clinical equipment, including calibration and record keeping in accordance with current policy and procedures as needed.
    • Performs front office clerical duties such as scheduling, check-in, check-out and record processing.
    • Completes daily CMA process per protocol and prepares any necessary bank deposit.
    • Maintains schedule.
    • Troubleshoots IT equipment as needed.
    • Performs other duties, as assigned.
  • Clinical Duties
    • Completes specimen collection including drawing blood or collecting urine and prepares appropriate paperwork for laboratory pick-up as needed.
    • Escorts patients to exam room, prepares patients for examination and treatment and assists the practitioner, as requested.
    • Able to conduct rapid or point of care tests as stated in standing orders or at the request of the clinician.
    • Performs ancillary testing and tasks as ordered by the clinician (PFT, EKG, injections, audiograms, blood draws) in accordance with established policies and procedures.
    • Performs other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications

Education/Credentials:

  • Graduate of an approved certified medical assistant program
  • Current registration/license in the state where employed if applicable 

Job Relevant Experience:

  • Minimum three years experience in clinical field
  • Working in independent role at clinic
  • Preferred: Proficiency with technology such as electronic medical records and video conferencing

Job-Related Skills / Competencies

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of clinical operations
  • Demonstrated proficiency with clinical technology tools such as an EMR
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Demonstrated willingness to participate in continuing medical education
