As a Certified Athletic Trainer, you will perform activities for assessing, preventing, recognizing, managing and rehabilitating injuries that result from physical injuries under the advice, consent, and prescription of a physician, in accordance with Concentra Medical Centers’ Injury Process Management and Concentra Medical Centers’ philosophy of rehabilitation in occupational medicine.

This position is eligible to earn a base compensation rate in the range of $35 to $45 per hour depending on job-related factors as permitted by applicable law, such as level of experience, geographic location where the work is performed, and/or seniority.

Responsibilities
  • Utilizes appropriate, sound and up-to-date clinical techniques to effectively assess and treat injuries.
  • Assists physical therapist in the treatment of patients with sports or orthopedic conditions referred for rehabilitation.
  • Assists with the implementation of the treatment plan prescribed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Provides input as to the fitness and conditioning status of patients.
  • Completes all training documentation in a timely manner.
  • Coordinates pre and post participation exams.
  • Provides patient education in the area of sports injury prevention and care.
  • Applies protective or injury preventive devices such as tape, bandages, or braces to body parts.
  • Collaborate with physicians in order to develop and implement comprehensive rehabilitation programs for injuries.
  • Massage body parts in order to relieve soreness, strains, and bruises.
  • Recommend special diets in order to improve athletes’ health, increase their stamina, and/or alter weight.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Athletic Trainer Program
  • Active and current license to practice in the State of jurisdiction or NAPA certified
