Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY
The Transcription Services Supervisor manages day to day activities of the Transcription Services team which includes on-boarding of new specialty clinicians, identifying missing or incomplete dictations, setting up clinics to upload voice files for transcription and corrections. Assist in the scheduling and facilitation of dictation protocol trainings. Complete set-up template and macro for new and legacy clinicians. Maintain and update templates and macros for the entire organization and for transcription vendor. Perform transcription audits for accuracy, communication, and proper reimbursement. Maintain a daily productivity log.


THE DETAILS
• Manage transcription team and provide daily job assignments. Run, monitor, and maintain daily/weekly/monthly productivity reports
• Schedule and facilitate on-boarding and training of new specialty clinicians on dictation protocol in all Concentra markets nationally
• Maintain and facilitate changes and updates between clinicians and transcription vendor. Communicate templates and dictation requirements between clinicians and the vendor
• Template and macro set-up with transcription vendor for new clinicians and for legacy clinicians who choose to make changes
• Review and edit templates and macros with clinician for transcription vendor
• Communicate and follow up with transcription vendor for updates and changes made by clinicians to dictated reports
• Set up transcription services for newly acquired/new specialty clinics. Ensure locations are set up to process dictated files
• Perform transcription audits at a minimum of monthly, for accuracy, template review and implementation
• Review transcription trends and trouble shoot for solutions
• Provide census reporting and other analytical or statistical data as needed or requested

Qualifications

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS


• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Some college education or a technical certification i.e. medical transcriptionist is preferred
• One transcription certification required: CPC, CCS or CCS-P, or RHIT/RHIA


JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE
• Customarily has at least three or more years of transcription experience
• Some experience with Orthopedic specialties and medical record documentation
• Previous mentorship/leadership assignment
