Flu Shots
Fight the flu with Concentra
Influenza – referred to as “flu” – is a serious threat to the health and well-being of you and your family. Vaccination is the primary method for preventing flu and its severe complications.* You can get vaccinated at a Concentra Urgent Care location.
The current seasonal flu vaccination is generally safe and is the most effective prevention against influenza and flu-related respiratory illness, physician visits related to the flu, hospitalization, and even death. Plus, the vaccine helps maintain a stronger immune system if a new strain of flu emerges.

Antiviral Medications
If you become exposed to the flu, a physician may also recommend that you begin taking an antiviral medication. This medication doesn’t help prevent the flu, but it helps your body fight the infection so your flu symptoms may be less severe. It should be limited to cases with severe symptoms where hospitalization may be required. Overuse of antiviral medications could lead more quickly to resistant strains of the flu.
