Concentra Earns Superior Health Award in Rhode Island

The Greater Providence Chamber of Commerce has named Concentra as a recipient for a Worksite Health Award, recognizing the company’s commitment to create successful health and wellness programs for its employer-clients and its own employee workforce. Concentra earned a Superior-level Award, the second highest award category.
Through the use of its health and wellness programs, Concentra Urgent Care in the greater Providence area was recognized for its ability to improve the health and well-being of its clients’ workforces. In addition, Concentra also implemented similar programs internally, helping to improve the lives of its own employees. Through its proven ability to enhance the lives of others, Concentra has become invaluable to numerous companies, helping to minimize health care claims and maximize employee health. Concentra joins several other notable Rhode Island businesses recognized for promoting wellness in the workplace.

Co-sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Rhode Island, the Worksite Health Award evaluates Rhode Island companies that are improving the health of their employees through written materials, seminars and demonstrated commitment to education, prevention, and policy change. The 17th Annual Worksite Health Award Ceremony took place on Wednesday, May 24, 2011 at The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick.
