Concentra acquires Physician Access Center in San Francisco

Effective November 5, Concentra has expanded its business with the acquisition of Physician Access Center (PAC), located in downtown San Francisco. This acquisition supports Concentra's extensive client base, its long history as the leading provider of occupational medicine to employees, and a growing demand for comprehensive health and wellness services.
Concentra consolidated the operations of PAC into its existing Concentra Urgent Care center, located in the Union Square area at 110 Sutter Street, Suite 300. This consolidation allows Concentra to begin renovating the acquired center, which will feature the company's signature architecture design, and provide patients with a welcoming and inviting medical visit. Renovations are expected to be completed in the first half of 2011. PAC was previously owned by Smith Ketchum, M.D.
Keith Newton, president and chief operating officer of Concentra, said, “This is an excellent opportunity to expand our service and medical expertise to the greater Bay Area market. Physician Access Center has a proven record of service to the community, providing comprehensive medical treatment for injured employees – a philosophy that parallels that of Concentra and ultimately results in tremendous benefits for our patients and clients.”
In addition to occupational health and urgent care medical services, Concentra offers a range of physical therapy, preventive, wellness, and health education services to current and new patients and employers. PAC patients will have access to those services at all seven Concentra locations in the greater San Francisco Bay area. Visit www.concentra.com for specific locations and hours of operation.
