Concentra Acquires New Jersey Medical Practice

Concentra, a subsidiary of Humana Inc., announced today it has expanded its customer base and reach in the Northern New Jersey market with the acquisition of The Doctor Is In, located in West New York, N.J. The acquisition of this center expands Concentra’s geographic footprint to 11 centers in Northern New Jersey.
The Doctor Is In medical center, located at 6701 Bergenline Ave, will now operate under the Concentra Urgent Care name. Practice owner and provider Ronald Weiss, M.D. along with several medical staff members, providers, and non-medical personnel have been retained, building on their long-standing relationships they have developed within the community. The newest Concentra Urgent Care location will offer urgent and occupational health and wellness services, as well as health education services to patients and employers.
