Concentra Acquires Denver-area MedExpress Centers

Concentra, a subsidiary of Humana Inc., announced today it has expanded its presence in the Denver market with the acquisition of MedExpress Urgent Care’s six medical centers in Colorado. This purchase brings Concentra’s total footprint to 15 centers in the Denver area.
Following completion of the transaction, Concentra gains a larger presence in the market, with four additional medical centers, which includes Cherry Creek, Highlands Ranch, Lakewood, and Parker communities. These new centers offer urgent care services to current and new patients. The operations of two former MedExpress medical centers in Northglenn and South Aurora, respectively, were closed and consolidated into Concentra Urgent Care’s existing centers within the same markets.
By acquiring these six MedExpress locations, Concentra continues to demonstrate its commitment to clients by providing additional access points for quality and convenient medical care. Most of the clinicians, medical support staff, and non-medical personnel at the newly acquired medical centers have been retained, building on their tenure with the organization and long-standing relationships they have developed within the surrounding communities.
