Urgent Care Curriculum
The only urgent care educational program
As part of our commitment to raising the standard of health care, Concentra is funding development of the first academic curriculum designed specifically for the practice of urgent care medicine. Core Content in Urgent Care Medicine is being developed in collaboration with the Urgent Care Association of America and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. It's currently the only educational program focused on the complexities of urgent care medicine.
A unique practice
In recent years, urgent care has grown into a specialized area of medicine. Due to the unique nature of the practice, urgent care physicians often see patients for the first time, requiring a different care strategy and process of treatment. The Core Content in Urgent Care Medicine educational program aims to address these issues and create a uniform treatment model for urgent care practices.
The Core Content in Urgent Care Medicine educational program is a 60-hour video curriculum consisting of 10 different modules:
- Ear, nose, and throat/eye (ENT/EYE)
- Gastrointestinal/genitourinary (GI/GU)
- Occupational medicine
- Customer service
Focused on the needs of urgent care practitioners, this continuing medical education curriculum will benefit physicians, residents, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners practicing in or transitioning to the urgent care practice.
Concentra is proud to help support this commercial program and to advance the practice of urgent care medicine.
