Physical Therapy Student Program

Concentra’s Clinical Internship Program

Currently, Concentra is affiliated with physical therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy assistant, and occupational therapy assistant programs throughout the United States, and our internship program continues to grow year after year.

Concentra's Therapy Student Program mentors students and interns into therapy professionals who demonstrate excellent clinical skills, communication skills, evidence-based practice management implementation, and leadership potential. The physical therapy internship period is variable in length and may extend from 2 weeks to 12 months. The internship program is offered in conjunction with academic institutions as part of their students' preparation.

Why choose Concentra for a Clinical Internship?

Our students learn to work in an environment that fosters collegial communication with physicians, hands-on treatment of patients, efficient administrative support, and effective use of a patient-empowerment approach to rehabilitation. Many of our therapists are certified clinical instructors by the APTA, and interns will have the opportunity to work with therapists, certified in manual therapy and hand therapy, and credentialed physicians specializing in occupational medicine, urgent care, family practice, orthopedics, and hand surgery. Concentra's diverse musculoskeletal environment develops a strong orthopedic knowledge base that is applicable to all aspects of practice and clinical management.

"I am fortunate to have been given the opportunity to intern as a PT student at Concentra. What separates Concentra from other places is not only the communication between doctors & supporting staff, but also havingthe ability, as a therapist, to assess & treat acute injuries. The desire Concentra staff has to provide the best possible treatment is very apparent & these factors combined are used to yield optimal patient results. Concentra's mission, vision & values are applied to every patient that walks through the door."
