Vaccinations
Become immunized
Vaccinations are critical to maintaining good health and preventing the spread of disease. Concentra provides vaccinations for a number of viral infections and diseases. These vaccinations can be provided at Concentra’s medical centers or onsite at employer worksites.
DTap Vaccination
DTap Vaccinations are used to treat diphtheria, tetanus, and whooping cough.
Flu Vaccination
The flu (also known as the common flu or seasonal flu) which is a viral respiratory infection that develops primarily in the lungs which can be prevented with flu vaccinations.
Hepatitis A Vaccination
Two hepatitis A vaccines are currently available, both of which are administered through an injection into the upper arm and provide high-level protection against the disease.
Hepatitis B Vaccination
The hepatitis B vaccine contains a protein that stimulates the body to make protective antibodies.
Polio Vaccination
The polio vaccination today is called IPV (Inactivated Polio Vaccine) because it contains non-living strains of the virus.
Meningitis Vaccination
Meningitis vaccination prevents against meningitis which is an inflammation of the membranes (called meninges) that surround the brain and spinal cord.
Pneumonia Vaccination
The pneumonia vaccine is given to prevent one specific type of pneumonia–the pneumonia caused by the Pneumococcus bacterium.
Chickenpox Vaccination
Getting a chickenpox vaccination can minimize the risk of contracting chickenpox. The vaccination requires two shots.
