Concentra Physical Therapy not only encourages but supports its employees' participation in educational workshops and courses to promote their clinical education:
- We offer tuition reimbursement to approved transitional Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) programs.
- We offer assistance for APTA-credentialed Manual Therapy Certification through the Manual Therapy Institute. This specialized and advanced orthopedic training program is designed to advance the evaluation and treatment skills of physical therapists in the orthopedic setting.
- We offer $1,000 CEU assistance per year, and up to 3 days off annually for participation in recognized courses.
Manual Therapy Institute
Concentra offers specialized training at the Manual Therapy Institute, an APTA-credentialed, post-professional clinical fellowship program. Working in tandem with 1 of 10 clinical sites located throughout the country, residents complete 2.5 years of course work and 440 supervised hours. This specialized, rigorous, and advanced orthopedic training program advances the evaluation and treatment skills of the physical therapist in the orthopedic setting.
Therapy Student Program
Concentra's Therapy Student Program mentors students and interns into therapy professionals who demonstrate excellent clinical skills, communication skills, evidence-based practice management implementation, and leadership potential. The internship period is variable in length and may extend for 6 to 12 months. The internship program is offered in conjunction with academic institutions as part of their students' preparation.
Our students learn to work in an environment that fosters collegial communication with physicians, hands-on treatment of patients, efficient administrative support, and effective use of a patient-empowerment approach to rehabilitation. Concentra's diverse musculoskeletal environment develops a strong orthopedic knowledge base that is applicable to all aspects of practice and clinical management.
Currently, Concentra is affiliated with over 150 physical therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy assistant, and occupational therapy assistant programs in the United States.
