Physical Examinations
We perform a variety of physical examinations related to patient wellness and employment:
Health and Wellness-Related Physicals
- School, Sport, and Camp Physicals determine whether a student athlete or camp attendee is medically and physically able to participate in activities. (Note: For private-pay patients, these physicals are typically not covered under private health insurance plans.)
- Health Risk Assessments confirm the biometric numbers/scores of an individual as part of long-term health and wellness, and indicate potential areas of health risk.
- Immigration Physicals conducted by designated Concentra civil surgeons confirm that immigrants arriving in the United States and applying for permanent residency meet the requirements of the Department of Homeland Security. This service is available at select Concentra Medical Center locations. Please call your nearest clinic for details.
Employment-Related Physicals
- Pre-Placement and Executive Physicals help companies answer the question: "Does this job applicant have the physical capabilities to perform the essential functions of this job?"
- Regulatory and Compliance Examinations establish a medical baseline for employees according to certain regulations (DOT, OSHA, etc.), and include periodic medical monitoring when indicated.
- Fitness-For-Duty Examinations confirm that employees returning from medical leave can perform their job duties.
- Employee Wellness Examinations establish baseline medical information as part of companies’ voluntary health and wellness initiatives.
