Effective April 1, 2008, Concentra has acquired Trinity Regional Health System's two primary care occupational health centers – doing business as Trinity Work Fitness – in Davenport, Iowa and Moline, Illinois. Commonly referred to as the "Quad Cities," this metropolitan area is a new market for Concentra, which operates other medical centers in Iowa and Illinois.

"We are excited to expand into the Quad Cities," said Bob Ratini, Assistant Vice President of Operations at Concentra. "As a recognized leader in occupational medicine, we have the expertise and data at our disposal to keep employees healthy and help them get back to work faster. Our staff also has the advantage of receiving ongoing training and evaluation. Because we will be able to build on the reputation of Trinity Work Fitness, we believe that we will have a unique advantage in helping to meet the needs of the workforce in the Quad Cities."

The two Trinity Work Fitness locations will be the first Concentra locations in the Quad Cities, but Concentra already works with several national employers that have offices in the area.

"A national company like Concentra is able to provide the knowledge, research, and proven treatment protocols that will only make the care delivered locally even stronger than it already is," said Flo Spyrow, Trinity's Vice President of Operations. "Trinity is confident that Concentra will build on its reputation for high quality occupational health services, while expanding the opportunities available to employers in this area."

Founded in 1985, Trinity Work Fitness had its initial home at Franciscan Medical Center, one of Trinity's predecessors. With clinics in Davenport and Moline, Trinity Work Fitness has provided occupational services to 1,800 Quad-City area employers. Services include injury care, physicals, substance abuse screening, prevention and surveillance, rehabilitation services, and wellness programs. Trinity Work Fitness has also offered on-site medical services at several employers in the Quad Cities.
