Effective March 1, Concentra has acquired the assets of Allan A. Konce, M.D., Inc., d/b/a Bay Medical Center (Bay Medical) in San Francisco. Bay Medical’s facility, at 2 Connecticut Street, is now a Concentra Medical Center and continues uninterrupted operations. Within 4-6 weeks, Concentra will consolidate the operations of its nearby Mission Bay location, at 728 20th Street, into the Bay Medical facility to offer a fully resourced medical center to clients and patients.

Dr. Konce, an orthopedic surgeon and industrial/occupational specialist, has been owner and director of Bay Medical Center for more than 20 years. “Concentra has a long-standing reputation of providing quality health care services to employers and patients across the country,” he said. “I am fully confident that Concentra will continue Bay Medical’s tradition of excellence and specialized services for the Bay Area community.”

Concentra has retained many of Bay Medical’s provider, therapy, and medical/non-medical employees as part of this transaction, and they will blend with the Concentra team to deliver the same level of customer service to which Bay Medical clients are accustomed.

During the transition period, Bay Medical will continue to offer its full range of services. Once the facilities are consolidated, the new location will also offer urgent care services and a wide range of preventive, wellness, and health education services to current and new patients and employers.
