• When a patient needs to be referred to a specialist, the Concentra doctor will explain the reasons and the type of specialist needed.
• Concentra handles the referral process: making the appointment, contacting necessary parties, and taking care of all the details.
• After the specialist treats the patient, the specialist confers with the Concentra physician on the recommended course of treatment.
• Unless the patient needs to see the specialist again, the Concentra physician will either provide the treatment or counsel the patient on how treatment will continue.
