Drug Testing and Screening
Drug testing and screening – also referred to as substance abuse and monitoring services – is a key component of many companies’ risk control program. Concentra helps employers implement drug screening programs through the use of an independent forensic laboratory and our conveniently located Concentra Medical Centers.
How We Serve You
- Once employees provide their samples for testing, Concentra express-ships the specimens to Advanced Toxicology Network (ATN), a state-of-the-art testing lab strategically located in Memphis, Tennessee.
- ATN reports drug screen results either directly to the client or to a Medical Review Officer (MRO) for the client. Negative results are typically communicated the day after collection, while positive confirmations are typically communicated within 24–48 hours of the screening.
- If the sample tests positive, the MRO calls the donor to ask why. If there's a legitimate explanation for the positive result, such as a prescription medicine, the MRO will report the result as negative to the employer.
- For faster on-site testing and results, ATN also provides "Rapid Test" products.
- Employers can set up customized accounts and reporting plans for each work location. Results can be centralized to report to one location or decentralized to report to various work locations. Accounts governed by the Department of Transportation will receive the required quarterly statistical summaries.
