What We DoWhat We Do

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) through the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) provides the vast majority of veterans’ health services within its own VA Medical Centers. However, from time to time the VA will contract with outside vendors to augment its existing services. This is particularly true in the area of outpatient primary care where the VA contracts the management of hundreds of Community-based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) to private providers. The VA will also augment specialty services in underserved areas.

Concentra Government Services is capable of meeting the VA’s needs in a number of areas. First, we offer 324 Concentra Medical Centers in 40 states, many of which are capable of offering primary care and urgent care services as a CBOC. When a CBOC opportunity presents, we review the location and the requirements to determine whether one of our medical centers will be a good fit. Like the VA, our goal for veterans is to improve their access to world-class outpatient health services.
