Advanced Toxicology Network
Advanced Toxicology Network (ATN) is Concentra’s testing laboratory for all drug and toxicology screenings. Based in Memphis, Tennessee, ATN is an independent subsidiary of Concentra and works closely with clinicians in our Concentra Medical Centers locations.
Expertise and resources
ATN has provided workplace drug testing since 1997 and has quickly developed into one of the nation's most advanced toxicology laboratories. The company’s technical management personnel offer an average of 20 years of experience in substance abuse testing, and ATN’s state-of-the-art laboratory facility employs the latest technology, including high- throughput instruments and highly efficient specimen processing systems.
The ATN lab currently performs over 8,000 immunoassay-screening tests per day, as well as over 900 GC/MS confirmations per day. This volume makes ATN one of the country’s largest single-site drug testing laboratories.
Federal certification = quality assurance
In 1989, a division of the United States Department of Health and Human Services instituted a rigorous certification program for laboratories performing federally mandated drug testing. The certification – SAMHSA – is the acronym of the certifying agency: Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. ATN is currently one of the few registered laboratories granted this certification and maintains this certification through periodic re-inspections to ensure all processes and procedures are maintained.
ATN staff has incorporated the extensive quality control procedures demanded by both SAMHSA and private industry. While many labs provide testing services that include toxicology, as well as clinical testing, ATN is singularly focused on drug testing.
