Long a leader in health care, Concentra also serves as a leader in private-sector support of our nation's military. We demonstrate that support with the following programs – some current, some expanded, and some new.
Transfers between duty stations are a fact of military life. They can create career interruption and economic hardship for military spouses and families. The stress and worry of the household move, coupled with the loss of secondary income, can detract from the military member's effectiveness and overall military service member retention. In response, Concentra offers a preference on hiring and transfer for qualified spouses of military service members as job openings occur within the company. In addition, Concentra is a charter member of the Military Spouse Corporate Career Network, a consortium of corporate employers working to create long-term career opportunities for military spouses.
Concentra is a proud participant in the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, and we continue to work with military bases and their support resources.
Concentra understands the hardship service members can experience when deployed. To help bridge the financial gap created from being called to active duty, Concentra has chosen to supplement the salary of employees who are activated and deployed and continue employee medical benefits.
Concentra encourages training and educational opportunities for its employees. We offer a tuition reimbursement program to assist in funding accredited educational activities.
